One day, as he’s lying on the edge of a disused chalk-pit, he falls into a cave, where he meets an odd-looking fellow named Stig, who has shaggy hair, wears a rabbit skin and speaks in grunts. Despite nobody believing that Barney’s friend is real, the two embark on a series of adventures, learning about each other’s ways.
